Frome, Egford Hill, Frome BA11 3JQ, UK

About the event

We will be meet by the gate to the fields at the Wallington Way/Vallis Road junction in Frome, Somerset.

Setting off at 10am, we will walk along the East Mendip Way looking out for medicinal plants and discussing their uses and folklore.  On arrival at Vallis Farm, we will pause for tea and biscuits before starting to make our remedy.

Because plants are so very seasonal, we can not be 100% certain what we will find, harvest and make each day until nearer the time. Over the three sessions we aim to cover:

  • teas and tinctures
  • infused oils and ointments
  • oxymels

Each session can stand alone, but they will compliment each other and are designed as a block.

A moderate level of fitness, sturdy shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather are required for the walk. Please also bring a water bottle, packed lunch for yourself and notebook and pen, if you wish to take notes.

Tea and biscuits are provided. There maybe a small additional cost to cover materials.

You will make a herbal remedy to take home with you.
